Trust Him
I had to pitch in two weeks, and I was nervous. It was a business pitch, and I had never presented a business idea before. I practiced in class, and I stuttered because I was so nervous. I couldn’t get my sentences out, and I forgot everything I wanted to say. It’s like stress took the words out of my mouth. I was embarrassed because I knew exactly how I wanted to introduce the business, and I lost it. But I also lost trust. I doubted that Jesus was with me. I forgot He was there to help me. Instead, I tried to pitch on my own. We try so hard to make things work on our own, forgetting that God wants to equip us and qualify us. He told me through a notification on my phone, “God wants to qualify you.” And that was before the people, who were advising me, asked me the question that I wasn’t addressing in my pitch deck: “Why are you qualified to do this?”
At first, that question made me nervous. I asked myself the same thing. Now, I know why I’m qualified; and I know why you are qualified to do what God called you to do too. Jesus gave you talents, but He also gave you Himself — a love relationship where you can seek His guidance, ask for help, and praise Him because you know that He will come through. He is already working to accomplish His will through you and grow you in the process. Don’t lose your trust in Jesus. Incorporate Him in everything, from presentations to daily tasks to anything you struggle with or are nervous about. He’s there for you. Trust Him.
Verses: Psalms 56:3 NIV, 2 Corinthians 3:5 NLT
"When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalms 56:3 NIV)
“It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.“ (2 Corinthians 3:5 NLT)
