Clarity, Confidence & Connection

Everyone wants a sense of security, stability and purpose as well as a meaningful relationship. When we become a Christian, we acquire all of these things. Having a relationship with God allows us to closely connect with, and intimately know, our Creator. As you nurture the relationship every day, He gives you clarity as to what He intended for you to do, and this clarity gives you the confidence you need to live boldly and intentionally. But notice, you must maintain your relationship with God daily and ask Him what your day should look like; what He has in mind; what His will is.

When you know what God’s will is for your life and follow it, He can bless you, work through you, and bless the work you were anointed to carry out because you are aligning yourself with His grand plan for the world through your obedience and surrender. This means that anything God tells you to do counts for something. Even if there are setbacks or challenges, the work will be ultimately successful because God is part of it and He is making it happen. Even when things aren’t fully clear, you will still have confidence because, when you walk with God daily, He proves Himself faithful again and again, and you begin to trust His guidance and instruction more and more.

You must also remember that God reveals things in time. Just as it takes time to build a relationship with someone and get to know them and their goals, it takes time to build a relationship with God, getting to know who He is and what’s on His mind. So know that if you have a real relationship with Jesus, not every single detail of your life or your future will be clear, which protects us from being self-confident in the things that God tells us to do. What should be clear is that He is directing your steps – showing you what steps to take, little by little, day after day, season after season. What should give you confidence is knowing that God is with you and whatever He tells you to do, He will help you and see it through. What drives your clarity and confidence is the love and trust you have in Jesus, who has a good plan for your life and is able to provide you with everything you need for His plan to be accomplished.

Verses: Psalm 25:4-5 NIV, Philippians 1:6 NIV

“Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5 NIV)

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6 NIV)
